Default Used Vortech

I've read through the $1500 s/c thread a couple of times and I was just wondering were everyone is getting these used head units from for 600-700 bucks? I've looked on ebay and craigslist for the past 2 weeks and all I found were complete kits and expensive ones(1500-2300)
Anyone know of someone on here selling one for cheap?

you just gotta wait a bit. I found one took me a while, and it was 800 not 600. depends on how long the person has been sitting on it. you just have to keep checking the forums, here and svt and corral pretty much all of them and keep an eye out, and youll find it. thats the hardest part though waiting.

and its not really 1500 its more like 2500 if you find one for 600 and maybe get used fuel stuff. still cheeper than a kit.

I just finished up my "1500" build....found the head unit on ebay for 760, ended up with about 2500 total including tune and everything I needed.

took me a couple months but i found a v2 on ebay for 750. the guy didnt know the trim(think its why it was cheaper for a v2). ended up being a r trim and i tore it down, was freshly rebuilt just recently or low milage. insides were perfect.

i looked at it like i paid 800 for the s trim, if i sent it in to be rebuilt and get an impellar upgrade make it an Si trim. id be looking at 300ish for rebuild and 300ish for impellar, and then i have an 2500 basically brand new Si for 1400.

Yeah, it takes time but you will find one. It takes patience to pull this one off.
