Default what causes surging??

my mustangs not sick thank god...still tucked away in the garage. this question is for my 93 sho that i'm tryng to sell. yesterday while driving to hockey my car started to surge while driving. Meaning i was just cruising and the car would pull alittle harder every few seconds. don't know how to explain it. i'm driving and everything normal then the car will rev alittle(accellerating while reving not just reving) then drive normal again. I was thinking a slipping clutch is the problem because the clutch is so toast, but if it was the car would just rev and not accellerate. then i was thinking tps? Vacuum leak?? what do u guys think. a person is coming to take a look at the car tomorrow so i want this prob fixed by then.

think i figured out the problem. its a vacuum leak going to the heater controls. it only surges when the accessories are on. so it has to be a vacuum leak related to that right? any other imput

when was the last time it had a tune up? ie...plugs, wires, fuel and air filter, etc.
I had a problem like that once in my dd. Gave it a tune up and all was well.
