Crash....dude that Stang looks Fing sexy....I love the black on black with chrome lips....but yeah I had an 01 and it was solid, consumer reports rates the 01 as the year with the least problems.

01 is NOT the one with the least problems...sorry to burst your bubble....plastic intake + 4 thread heads means your 01 is just as susceptible to major problems as any other 99-mid 02 (for intakes) and 99-03 (for plug blowout)

99GT 245,000 kms.

No spark plug issues, no tranny issues. In the lats 2 years nothing big has gone wrong. Just brakes and suspension stuff.

2003-2004 all the bugs stated earlier are fixed. Bigger injectors, more spark plug threads, aluminum crossover, trans TSBs fixed, integrated IAT sensor in MAF, bolt-on cam gear design makes a cam swap much easier and faster without the need to remove the timing cover (if you aren't degreeing), the list goes on.

Basically last year in the model usually is the best because all the kinks are worked out like stated before.

I just checked my Consumer Reports '09 Used Car Buying guide and to be honest, they're pretty reliable across the board. Theres too much to type in here but I'll snap a pic of it later and post it in here

My car got the coolant crossover replaced under warranty before I purchased it.

Also, apparently the 99/00 windsor blocks are faster stock than the romeos.
