V-3 Si-Trim (How much RWHP)
Well gentleman I'm finally over the hump of this year long deployment. I have spent the money in the 1st 6mths on exterior upgrades (03 Cobra bumper, 95 Style Kaenan Cobra R Hood, smoked headlights and fogs). Now im looking at the performance side of the house.. I've decided to go with the Vortech V-3 Si-Trim S/C, Accufab 75MM TB and Accufab plenum. I realize that I will have to sell or get rid of some mods that I have already have (pulleys, CAI). I was just wondering with the mods that I currently have what would you guys think my RWHP numbers would be? Also have you guys heard anything bad about the V-3 S/C? Will the V-3 have any kind of whine to it at idle and also at full throttle? Thanks guys. I will be going home in about three weeks (mid tour leave) and I will post pics of the exterior upgrades....

it will have a slight whistle at idle but thats about it,if you want a loud whistle get the V1..those are loud! Most people usually Get around 380-430 intercooled.
Just curious, how much do soldiers usually make when deployed overseas?

if your a dorm resident at your home station you're on meal card (swipe your military ID card at the chow hall on base and the food is "free"). if you live off base or have a special requirement in the dorms that allows you to get BAS (monthly food allotment which is 323~ per month right now) thats money you get paid even in the desert to provide food for yourself for the month. and while your in the desert, you eat at the chow hall on base and its free, and if you were entitled BAS before you deployed they keep paying it. also, if you don't live in the dorms you get paid BAH (housing allowance since you don't have a dorm room, which for me in my zip code is 953). if you move out of your apartment thats 953 a month you get paid but you aren't even living in your apt anymore, or you have a roommate and you pay say 500$ a month each, thats 453$ a month your pocketing overseas because your still paying your roommate 500$ a month to help him cover his rent.
now you have your normal base pay ontop of that (so however much you make normally). and you also will have hazardous duty pay (somewhere around 300-350 a month) for bieng in hostile territory. if you have a child or wife (dependant) you will get seperation pay (not sure how much that is, but its 200-300 a month or so).
so basically your getting paid your normal salary per month (for me its around 3370 with BAS, BAH, and my base pay). if your deployed to a hazardous area, thats another 300~ a month, and i have no dependants so thats no seperation pay. if i move out of my apartment, im getting 3670~ a month and have zero living expenses. still have to pay my bike, insurance (20$ a month while deployed), car, and credit card (say 500$ for numbers sake). on a six month deployment i would make 22020, and have only had to pay 3000$ for my car/ins/credit cards, so i would come back with 19,000~ in my bank account minus any other expenses i had (theres things overseas you can purchase on and off base).
its really not that you get paid alot while you deploy (literally the only extra pay is hazard/seperation pay) its the fact that you have zero living expenses and not a whole lot to spend money on while your overseas.

The pay isn't bad at all. Thats the ONLY good thing about deployments to Iraq or Afghanistan. You get alot of extra pay incentives while deployed. And if you're single, you can waste all that extra money on your mustang

Yeah, I'm K-9 in the Air Force. Trust me, lowering springs are the next thing that im buying for the car. It looks like it sits higher than it did ever since I put the new shocks and struts on the car.
