short shifters make them more fun to drive..its alot shorter too and helps keep missed shifts to a minimum

Whoever told you that you don't need a shifter is an idiot (no offense in case it was like your mom who said that). Okay, so maybe you don't NEED a shifter, but you should still get one, and soon. It's one of the cheapest and most effective mods you can do.

plenum, pulleys, maybe an electronic cut-out between the headers and x-pipe, gears, short-throw shifter (if its a 5 speed) AND consider a DYNO TUNE with your SCT they are very effective

No cutouts please. Pulleys are a waste. Tune only needed if the op does full bolt-on's id say.

Its just that the stock shifter is sloppy, trust me when you put in that short shifter you will see what Im talking about.

Get everything everyone mentioned but some suspension and good tires. You will be shocked on how much of a difference good tires make on helping your put the power you make to the ground.
