I wont ever buy used tires because i have no idea what might have happened to them like damage to the sidewall from hitting a curb really hard or whatever. dont skimp out on the only part of your car that will actually connect you to the road. Thats the way i thought when i was buying tires this time around.

Nitto NT555's are awesome tires. I had them before in 285 35 18's and they lasted over 20k miles and didnt do too bad hooking either.

depends what you want out of the tire and how hard you push them. i bought staggered 9"/10.5" FR500's in 17" with the, i guess you could say "crappy" summitomo's.

i dont carve corners like a madman or need them to stick and launch me. yes i drive "spirited" at times but nothing to merit a higher performance tire...given the price difference. I have yet to lay into the car from a stop and see them go up in smoke....no desire to shorten the lift of my tires at the expense of other people's enjoyment ahaha. not to mention my wallet doesnt like it either

Everyone is going to have a different take on the subject. Discount Tire CO. is 'THE PLACE' at least where i live. they have really affordable tires. But heres my motto: tires are like shoes. If they feel good then you'll be happy and they look good too in your mind. Maybe i have expensive taste i dunno BUT i do know that I will only put my foot into a shoe that will allow my legs to preform well. As distance runner this is key. Same goes for my car.

If a day goes by that i dont launch my car(if i drive my car that day), then there is something wrong with me. lol Nitto NT555's are a great DD tire that will hook reasonably and last a while, without costing an arm and a leg...just an arm but they are great tires for the price.
