Default parts from s/c mach1 for GT?

friend has a supercharged 03 mach1 that blew up the engine, looks like he is going to scrap it and buy a new one (dont know what kind yet), i know id be able to take the vortech head unit off of it and use it for my car, but what else could i benefit from by trying to take it off his hands, lol...do any other components of the s.c kit fit on my GT? could i use his fuel pump, injectors, maf to throw the s.c on my car? would it be worth it to try and get his heads/cams (stock) to make my 2v into a 4v(assuming the parts are cheap, i know this is usually unneccesary and expensive), anything else i could upgrade my GT with off the mach engine? im sure ill be working out reasonable prices on anything i get off of him, if he is really going to go with something completely new im sure hed be willing to sell quick and local at a good price, thanks in advance!

first think i think of is the seats lol. i would love Mach seats in my GT as far as the engine and an upgrade goes....not too sure. but take the SC and all required parts, then use the HU and sell the parts to other Mach guys who need specific parts to bolt to the Mach engine.

Yea I was definately goin to grab the head unit but I wanted to know if I could also take his injectors, maf, and fuel pump..I was assuming they were the same but I could be wrong.. I wish it were a part out for everything so I could grab the seats but he is keepin the car just replacing the engine lol

Take the discharge pipes because they'll work mostly fine. It may require a little finesse and custom work on the TB side but it won't be anything difficult.

Basically take all of it that you can, because the only thing that won't work is the mounting bracket.

Altight cool. Thanks.. I'll let you guys know what happens.. He just blew the motor like within the week so I need to see what he ends up actually doing. Just wanna be prepared if he decides to go with the new motor like he's saying.. A friend that is a mechanic said he thinks a piston was blown? Idk how unrepairable that is but he's been talkin about a new motor since he bought the car so this could just be a reason to finally do it lol..hopefully he does!

Well if it's just a burnt piston then the one piston can be replaced and all will be good to go again... but if it sustained any sort of damage it could easily have done much worse. You could probably go on the side of "much worse" but why would he toss out his blower just over that :P

If you can get it, do it! You'll love it

Oh, and just get everything but the heads. They don't fit on a 2v block without a bunch of work. His fuel pump will work in your car, the injectors are the same (but larger - at worst you'll have to get EV1 <-> EV6 adapters for about $60 for a set).

If it were my motor I would just have it repaired unless it was completely done but it's his choice.. Since he bought the car he wanted a new engine. He wants like a crate racing motor. Idk lol. If he goes that route I'll jump on the motor lol
