Going to check out an 04 cobra...

Man Cobra's are going a little higher over on the east coast. Most dealerships over here that have cobra's on the lot are going for 18-21K depending on the mileage. Though the majority of them are low mileage like low 20's or under even. 51K for $24,000 seems steep. Like what was said b4, prob get jack squat for your stang and i bet you could find a better priced cobra if thats what your after.

It seems to be priced right. It is hard to find a good condition one under 22k here in chicago. Check and see if it comes with the orig window stick, owners manual, svt certificate, etc. All the paper work will help add value to the car and will add to the collection value if you plan on keeping the car. Ask the dealer when the last time the oil was changed in the car and supercharger, if dealer hasn't done both, make sure you change both asap.
As for first mods I would do the Head Cooling mod (Helps prevent head tick) and the IRS brace. You are going to get wheel hop in this car, untill you replace the bushings and throw a good set of tires on it. When you get wheel hop make sure you let off otherwise.....Boom! lol. Do not do any 5th or 6th gear pulls, otherwise you may find yourself buying a new motor.
And one more word of advice......Please do not put ugly @ss rims on this car like how you have on your gt

My dad is a car salesman, and let me tell u, they will rape you with that gt. Find out how long they've had that cobra at the dealer for. If the car has been there long they'll want to get rid of it. You will need to play your cards right to get a good deal on this car; I'm sure a lot of ppl go and look at the car. Be humble and know what you're saying. Call out every flaw as if you don't really care about the car, but seem interested. I can go on and on. My dad bought a 2004 silverado with 35k miles for like 10k. Nice deal. you gotta know how and when to talk.
another thing, when you already say yes and set on a price, don't settle for their BS interest rate. That's where they rape ppl. Keep the salesman going back and forth to his approver till you get a good rate. Hope this helps....(maybe you knew all this idk)
goodluck!!! and thats a beautiful cobra.

at first dont tell them your trading in your gt. Work out a deal, once its set at a price you like, then tell them that you changed your mind and you want to trade it in. Thats what i was told to do by a salesman at the dealer i work at.

My buddy has a 2003 cobra fully built with a kenne bell, build IRS, fuel system, basically it's completly decked out. It's white with black fr500s. Puts 700 rwhp. This thing is nasty. He is asking for $27,000 and it has less than 25k.

get them at the lowest price possible THEN tell them you want to trade the car in.
and i agree with the flaws...point out everything you see but stay interested to knock the price down. if the salesman is somewhat a car guy it will be hard bc he will know what he has and that someone else will gladly buy it with less hassle. if you get one that knows jack **** other than its a cobra and is the "best" mustang they made in 03-04....then you could prob screw with him on the price.
goodluck!
