Hey whatever gets the job done bman. I'll say if you're running 13.3s with bolt-ons and street tires, you're doing something very right.

Going through the water is definitely not gonna help anything on street tires. But if you don't sling all the water off, it can really hurt your launch.

Then the launch youll just need to practice, id say likly youll leave slipping the clutch at 2500 or less, this is what i had to do. Assuming you have no gears, this should work to. Powershift second. No joke. If you heated the tires a bit, then with factory gears and a 5 speed, you can powershift second, youll get a squeel or a chirp, either way i can garuentee its faster than not power shifting. and try to get as fast a shift as you can into 3rd. also i shifted at 6k. mind you just a bolt on car. So i didnt have anything special. And you timed your cams? did that help?
Yeah the timing seem like it help alot i could feel a diff frm stock & Advance to 10.

Tbird, its a finiky thing the burnout box.....ive done a few different things, ive been in the box, ive driven around it and just went to the line, ive given it a little scuff after driving around the box. Ill tell you right now, not doing anything at all, never did me any good. so that option for me was out lol. I tried it once and just lit the tires up off the line. The other 2 ways burnout in or out of the box. really your getting the surface a bit of heatr and thats all you need. But i look at it like 3 seconds in the box is way easier on all your parts than a few seconds out of the box....make sense? if you give it a real quick burnout its easier on the car to start in the water and roll out.

All that aside though. My times were not really just because of my launch. I did have some good launches, but nothing you do in the box or out of it will teach you how to drive out of the hole, everyones different you just have to learn what works for you all i can do is give my way and some advice. And lastly most of my time is made up in the shifting. You wouldnt think it, but even a fast shift takes time. If you can shave a tenth off the shifting time, thats a tenth more that your car is on the power, which can often times add up to more than a tenth down the track.

I had a night were i couldnt figure out why i was running slower than normal, turned out i wasnt power shifting 3rd and i was getting lazy on 2nd, went from 13.7s to 13.5s mind you my car was all broken too. power shifting is hard to do right easy to screw up, and i wouldnt attemp a 2-3 powershift without a MGW shifter, or at least a good after market sts. just my opinion.

Yeah, even with a pro5.0 I get a tiny crunch going into 3rd sometimes when I powershift. It takes a lot of practice to get it down right. I'll say 3-4 shift is cake to powershift and there is probably a tenth at least in that shift to be had by the right rpm shift and by powershifting it.

Yeah, I know. Wasn't blaming it on the shifter. I have missed 3rd once at the track and saldy enough I have missed 2nd once too on my first time out.

Yeah my guess would be your probably gonna run 9.0-9.4. I know that with my auto gt with my mods my fastest time was 9.2 on street tires. So i would say anywhere in that bracket most likely if you can drive and get a good 60'
