Default buying new tires and wheels, will this fit ok?

i am either getting new 18's or 17 and i kept getting told to put on 315 on the rear and 275 for the front in both the 17 and 18. That just seems wide to me since i have on my 01 gt 245's on their now. Will having that big of tire make it handle like crap? my car sits about 1 inch lower than stock and may put springs to get another inch lower out of this.

Thanks and i tried to search

The stock rims are 17x8, and their is a nice pooch in the sidewall.

The fronts will have to be at least 9" to fit those 275s.

The backs will need to be 10.5s I think.

If you have 18x9 up front and 18x10 out back, 265/35 and 295/35 will look good.

Alot of peeps love the 315s because they look sexy as hell. IMO 275 is cuttin it close up front. I prefer 265s. I have 285s out back now. 18" rims. Check my sig pic.

As far as handling, the more tire the better, to an extent. Personally, unless you already have alot of money into suspension for the twisties, you wouldn;t notice a negative difference with the 315s if you wanted them. Just know, they are not made by as many manufacturers, and are crazy expensive in comparison to a 285/18 most of the time.

Honestly, I would like to go wider on the back with mine, but I don't want to foot the bill for 315s repeatedly(i have a rubber burning foot)

I think you would be happy with a 265/18 front and 285/18 rear.

Just my 2 centz

265 35 18 fronts and 295 35 18 rears and i wish that both were wider. I look back to when i had 315 30 18 drag radials on the back and the car looked so much better. And the 295 35 18's make the wheels look small...lol when i first got these wheels i thought they looked huge and the sidewall of these tires dwarfs them slightly. Next set is probably gonna be a set of 315 30 18's honestly. Dont know what tire yet, but thats gonna be the size...and they look so much wider. Its menacing!!! I will be getting 275 35 18's for the front soon though in NT05's. Great tires, wish they made wider tires to put on the rears though.

And devo, i'll suggest 295's for you since i think you are running 18x10 rear tires. I ran 285 35 18's on my 18x9.5 wheels and that was a perfect fit, so i think they would be slightly stretched on the 10's. Just a recommendation.

What size wheels are you wanting to run???

http://www.americanmuscle.com/99-04-...eels-rims.html

Buy from them and get the tires(NT555's is the only option they offer that i suggest)from them also, and they get free mounting and balancing. So yea, but american muscle. And free shipping too.
