1998 Mustang GT 4.6
I just recently bought a 98 Mustang GT.
Here is some specs about the Mustang.
The Mods
- Flowmaster Exhaust
- Steeda Headers
- K&N Drop in Air Filter
- Steeda Computer Chip
- Steeda Underdrive Pulleys.
The Car has 86K Miles on it.
I was thinking about getting the P.I. Swap.
Any Mod Suggestions?

I would like to make the car quicker, the car already runs well. The car is a 5 speed, and it has 3.73 gears. I do not want it to be a drag car or anything just a quick street car. I am already buying a CAI tommorow.
pi swap is a great move for us npi guys. however, if you are low on funds or have not enough mechanical ability the cam/intake portion of the pi swap is a great start. Not only with the npi heads will you have greater cam freedom (pi heads suck for cams) but you won't have a higher compression ratio in case you want to apply some boost later down the road. Just think about it.
Here is my suggestion to you.
1. PI swap with some stage 1 cams
2. king cobra clutch kit
3. wheels of choice with 17x10.5's/18x10's in the rear
4. lowering springs based on how low you want your car
5. tb/plenum
6. shifter
That would make a pretty quick street car and it will be fun to just tear around town in. But im not sure what you mean by steeda headers...i was unaware that steeda made headers at all. but they sure as hell do...and they are cheap as hell to boot. here is a link to anyone interested in longtube headers at $400 for the pair!!!

I was wanting to get the car around 325 Horsepower. And by the way I was wrong on the headers they are JBA Shorties. I just bought the car yesterday and thought they were steeda headers lol. I think its around 260hp right now with the Steeda Performance Chip and the UDP and the other mods at 91 octane.
