Default 2000 GT

My friend was thinking about buying my 2001 z28, but I guess he changed his mind cause I showed up at his house yesterday and he had traded his car for a manual 2000 Mustang GT.

The only mods are a catback and a CAI, has a little over 100k miles. Where would he be at rwhp and 1/4 mile wise, assuming he can drive it well?

Maybe 230 rwhp, and 14.0-14.2 at around 100 mph. Just a rough guesstimate.

Alright I guess we'll have to set up a friendly run to see how it stacks up. The z28 is an auto, and basically has the same mods, just a catback and aftermarket air lid. Guessing around 280-300rwhp if they usually put down 270-290 stock unless you get a freak.

He was saying he'd estimate his Stang to be around 300rwhp so I thought it would be a good match. I was in my ws6 and offered to run him just for fun real quick, but that would be way off as it is over 400hp/400tq to the wheels so we didn't.

Need the ws6 for the 2011 GT. Never driven a Mustang, but if I had the money for a new car I'd pick the Mustang over the Camaro and Dodge cars.

Dang.

The only real race against a 99-04 I've had in the z28 was on the freeway. Saw one coming up from behind, when he was almost to my rear he went WOT, but I was ready and did the same. Went from about 70-130mph. Stopped his pull instantly but we basically stayed even, maybe put a half car on him at best.

So take it he must have been fairly modded, unless it was a Mach? He stayed behind me and got off the next exit so I didn't see.
