Default How is this for luck?

So on Sunday I got in my car and was trying to back out of my driveway to go to my grandfathers 87th birthday party....I've had alot on my mind lately with my job/commute/typical BS, and I forgot to turn my head and look behind me....

For the first time in maybe 18 years, my Dad parked his BMW at the top of the driveway, and my dumb@$$ didn't think to look. Long story short, I scraped the entire side of my Dads BMW and all over my rear passenger rear wheelwell, causing thousands of dollars in damage (none of which I can afford at the moment).

I go to call my bodyshop guy who specializes in all high end cars and has hooked me up for years....and the guys number is disconnected.

Man that really sucks, I almost had the same thing happen to me a few years ago, I luckily slammed on my brakes with out looking to see if there was a car behind me... I was literally less than 2 inches from my mom's big a$$ envoy. I can only imagine how you're feeling right now. Good luck getting the bmw fixed.

He's pissed because he'd rather me save my money for once, go to grad school, or save to relocate rather than spend it on fixing up our two cars after a dumbasss move like that. Apparently my bodyshop guy changed his number - finally located him.

hey buddy it happens. Not trying to one-up ya but i got one for ya.

About a year ago I went into the garage to take the f-250 out.

When i hit the key i heard a click. Thought it was a dead battery. Put the

charger on it, and still got the same click. So I thought it was just the

solenoid. No big deal, i thought. it's done this before. Cross the terminals with

a screwgaver and she'll fire up, I thought.

Well it did. And it was in reverse. And out the garage it went, with both

doors open wide and dragging the charger with it. Both doors caught each

side of the garage door, and I watched them peel forward right into the

fenders.

I hadnt put it all the way in park last time i drove it. So for my stupidity and

hastiness, i got two ruined doors, two ruined fenders, two broken mirrors, a

broken wall outlet, a broken battery charger, (2 years old) And my Pride

scarred probably forever. The real kicker here was it was to pull a float in

the Memorial Day parade. So much for having a nice clean, dentless truck.

So, remember, accidents really suck, but at least it wasnt from stupidity!

I got a story too, I had a two car carport, I would back the truck in (97 f150 ex cab) and pull the mustang in (97) so both drivers doors faced in giving me the most room to get in and out of the drivers doors. One night I was in the truck, we had just had my daughter, so I will blame my error on lack of sleep, it was late and dark I was backing in and BAM! I hit my stang. dented the drivers door, broke off the mirror, and scraped then both up. I drove it banged up till I sold it. The new owners, got it fixed then 3 months later, a guy ran a stop light and took the front clip off of it. 6 months after that, It blew both head gaskets. After that repair, they sold it. I still see it aroud form time to time
