Default factory 2 step?

went to the tuner today to get a inspection friendly tune, and he put into my tune a 2 step....didnt know you were able to do that just using a tuner...anyone else use this? i have the sct xcal2 if it matters.

and if anyone else uses it, could i adjust the launch rpm through my computer or is only my tuner able to do that with his software?

I have an Xcal 2 also, Ive got a 2 step tune on mine as well, and im pretty sure you have to use the software on his computer to change the RPM launch setting.

I have the 2 step on my race tune, I can adjust what RPM I want it at... If he added adjustability to it then you will be able to adjust it from the hand held.

If you have a low level tuning system you can set these scalar values (click here) to set up a 2-step limiter. I have mine set at 2800 RPM, it's great fun...

Yeah, all you have to do is push the clutch in and floor the throttle and it will hold it at the preset RPM's

is it safe to use this neutral rev limiter as a 2step? what would be the point in buying an MSD 2step if you could just use this? lol

It's safer than cutting the ignition and letting the injectors continue to "inject", however some claim the stability at the limit is better with the MSD limiter--I can envision this being true...
