^ exactly....my brother had roled tips on his 2000 GT, only thing with those is that the inside of the rolls tend to rust where dirt/water collects.

I like the SLP's because the sharp edge of where the 2 walls meet go with the sharp edges o the car. I would stay with the 15 degree slant cut or straight/flat cut 3.5" or 4" tips. in the end...they are only tips, they only look bad if they are too small/too big and if they are tucked too far in or sticking out like a rear step lol.

another thing to consider...the adjustable ones likeI showed have set screws used to keep the mounting bracket from sliding/rotating and can come loose and have to retighten it sometimes. but i dont mind, i just lay under there and re-position it in 5 min max.

It says These tips are slip fit design to slide on to existing catback systems that utilize slide on type tips, my flowmaster catback has welded on tips, Will these slide on the 2 1/2 pipe of my cat back if I cut the tips off?

ummmm if you cut the tips off, you may not have any pipe to slide the new ones on unless the new ones are longer than the ones you have now.

if not, you will need a shop to weld on a 4" section of pipe or so so you can slide the new tips on. and yes they should slide over your 2.5" pipe, like said before, most tips are made for the most common CB which are 99% 2.5" pipe.

edit: to clarify, both those sites say they are 16" long, so get under your car and measure the tips you have now. If they are 16", you can't just cut old ones off and slide new ones on for the reason I said above and will need the CB pipe to be extended.

If the old tips are say 10" long, then cut them off and you will be able to slide the new ones over the CB pipe by 6"....see where I'm going with this?

Here is a picture of my current tip and pipe connecting to it as you can see from the picture, after I cut off the tip I will still have a lot of pipe left to play with.

I personally like my tips out farther than those are sitting now... I have mine about 1.5" farther back, but from the weld to the end of the tip is 12.5" and the new one is 16"...yes it seems you should be fine.

just throw a ruler up there and start it about 1-1.5" back(toward the front of the car) from the weld and see where 16" ends up just to double check. you could always slide it toward the front of the car to tuck it in if for your own preferance.

OP it looks like you will have plenty of piping after cutting off the current tips. go for it and good luck!
