update on vortech install
Day One is Complete, here is what is done so far:
-Installed 42lb injectors
-New Plugs
-Drain Oil
-Tap Pan
-Installed vortech mounting bracket
-Mounted Head Unit
-Removed Bumper Support/Fabricated for Intercooler
-Installed Intercooler
-Installed All Piping, Including Intake (MAF is hooked up and read to go)
To Do Tomorrow:
-Finish hooking up Blowoff valve
-Modify front bumper to fit w/ intercooler piping (and hopefully be able to keep fog lights)
-Fill Car With Oil (bold so I dont forget lol)
-Replace Fuel Pump
-Call Tripple A and get Towed to shop to be tuned
I think that's about it. Overall the install is going "ok". Id say we are right at 60% complete. We have run into lots of little snags here and there, and with this damn inter-cooler we are pretty much making it up as we go. I hope to have a working car by Wednesday (if I'm lucky).
BTW on a side note, the AC lines are a PITA. We were maneuvering the line to get the intake onto the vortech and the mother f***** cracked, releasing I don't know how many PSI of freon into the garage. I plan on living without A/C now for a while.... so keep that in mind if anybody decides to do this.... please be careful with your A/C lines, they are aluminum and do NOT like to be touched.
Anyways, pics will be posted up on a new thread once everything is said and done, I will try to document as much as I can to help anybody else in the future. See you guys soon!
