LT's is it worth the trouble?

+1, there was a guy on here that was blown, 5XX sum odd HP and only gained 9rwhp after LTs. I think ppl let the LT thing go to their head because it changes the sound. Have you seen my thread about wanting to go to shorties because im going to lower my car n I dont wanna clank my lts? lol ppl are like freaking out over it. NOOO!!! your gonna lose sooo much hp!!!...its funny to me.
lol @ "people who claim over 30-50rwhp from LTs"
They sound awesome. Gains aren't so much, but it's kind of hard to say you will see 0rwhp gains when other people have gained more than just diddly squat. Like other bolt-on's, a new tune will greatly influence the gains IMO.

edit: and the normal gain will be ~15whp, and maybe more for the torque. i know i didnt get dynoed pre-LTs, but 272rwtq seems like more than a gain of 15.. just sayin

Put me in the camp of not-worth-it. Long-tubes are the only mod I regret spending money for. I got zero gains on a dyno going from stock exhaust to long-tubes and catted x-pipe. You're supposed to see boost drop about 1 psi when they are installed. It didn't. Something else is blocking the exhaust and its called catted x-pipes. I am convinced its the off-road pipe that gets you the gains not necessarily the long-tubes.
By the way, very few people do only one thing to their car. I remember a post from a guy who claimed 50 rwhp on supercharged Termi from long-tubes. Come to find out he put on long-tubes, and a off-road mid-pipe, got a new tune and.. oh, yea... he changed a pulley.
