also...not sure the differential brace is a requirement. maybe more of a recommendation IMO. i've romped on my car and i don't have a brace. as long as you instantly get out of it if/when wheel hop starts to occur you should be fine.

i wouldn't imagine GT owners with 100 less hp having serious issues.
Yea i dont think a brace is required either. I have about as much HP as a 99 cobra has in stock form; i doubt they had much stock cars breaking rear ends. lol

I would say if you are doing the swap to take advantage of the advantages of the IRS over the SRA, youre going to need a diff brace or a new diff cover. Its cheap insurance basically. Theres no way im going to run mine hard without one.

Delrin bushings are nice but you have to realize delrin bushings require a bit more maintenance than urethane. Also NVH will be an issue, if you are swapping over to the IRS with the idea of having something marginally more comfortable than a fully built SRA then go for it, but urethane to me is a good compromise. Like I said, at my power level I have no wheel hop until 2.5k+ rpm launches.

+1, I think going with delrin is kind of pointless if your wanting to swap in an IRS for comfort. The full tilt boogie racing article I posted does a good job of masking the fact that delrin is not the only choice out there.

I think Polyurethane bushings are just wats needed to get rid of the majority of the rebond issues. Poly bushings are IMO more than enough for most of the GTs on this board. even with a centri I would still pick poly bushings.

well with those power levels i would definitely get a brace. lol

under 400 though, i really don't think its as big of a concern unless you are doing high rpm launches.

i haven't really looked into upgrading my bushings, so i really couldn't offer anything on that topic. all i know is that you can literally feel these rubber ones flex when you really stick it in first. they suck horribly. they also make hard turns feel a bit squirrelly which makes things pretty unpredictable at times.

^ If your car feels squirley on hard corners, there is more going on than rubber bushings.

On a side note...HP does NOT brake parts... 'tis grip

I guess you are gonna have to take me for a spin in the Cobra to show me what it does

Tell you what, if the Giants make the playoffs and the Cards come here to play them, you can drive your car out and we can hit the HWY1 back-roads. I will take you up to experience the HWY1 twisties....

Jazzer... bringin' the backroads to the poeple
