don't fear the gear, if you drive the car like sh*t, you'll get sh*ty gas mileage regardless of what gear ratio you have, it won't effect your mpg that much if at all any, good luck
If I was worried about gas mileage I would've bought a Honda

To answer your question, because they both are essentially the same question, unless youre using a sticky tire, you are fine running the stock differential and axles. When you start launching hard with sticky tires and suspension, you'll need 31's but youre fine for street driving with 4.10's on the stock drivetrain.
