I have motive gears and have no problems whatsoever. A lot of people swear on ford racing though.

I am looking at FRPP 4.10's and i have no concerns over MPG or top speed.... but i am concerned with premature wear of drivetrain parts and drivetrain chatter during normal driving. Assuming I have the installed by a competent shop, what can i expect as far as normal wear and tear? Also, should i have gear whine if they 4.10s are properly installed. Even if there is some noise, i will still go with the 4.10s but I just want to know what to expect.

Installed properly you should have zero noise from the rear. I cannot see any premature wearing of drivetrain parts due to the installation of 4.10s, aside from the fact that you will be applying a lot more torque to the rear axle under WOT than before, so if you slap slicks on there things can start breaking....

it should sound just like stock and drive just like stock ( except for the obvious hard pull and more rpms). I've had 4.10's in both my stangs and loved them

I have an 78 mile commute TO AND FROM WORK 5 days a week, and have 4.10s and wouldn't accept anything else.

Awesome, that pretty much makes up my mind then. Also, will it be necessary/beneficial to install a LSD with the 4.10s? I dont want to have the extra power and not be able to put it to the ground in a reasonable manner.

Yes and checkout americanmuscle.com for the 4.10 gear/bearing kits....Make sure not to forget to pickup some new gear fluid, as you will have to drain the pumpkin to get to the gears too. You will not be disappointed!!
