I know this is a stupid question, but im not sure exactly how the shaker system works and what the benefit is of getting one. if someone could help me out id appreciate it!

 

The only real benefit is it looks cool, especially if you can get a factory Mach 1 hood to go with it instead of using the black plastic overlay thing. The scoop itself is ducted down to the factory airbox, thereby making it technically functional; though the air it draws in isn't any cooler than the air the factory airbox draws in through the fenderwell.

 

ya the only benefit is its pretty badass looking...and u get a vacuuming/whistling sound

 

and it shakes under hard excel.. duh.

 

ok thanks fellas. i just wasnt sure if there was any real benefit outside of the cosmetic aspect.

 

looks better than th stock fake scoop dances around when you tap on the gas and somewhat sucks in cooler air from outside when you get on it. if ya dont beleive that put a pewice of paper in front of the opening of th scoop then turn the throttle at th throttle body and you will see the paper get suck towards the opening

 

Super CAI. It dumps out onto the filter so it's stilling passing through the filter.
