k memeber question?

k memeber question?
Im considering buying a MM k member....eventually i would like the whole front suspension but for now, im looking at it because it gives me oil pan and header clearance. But what im wondering is if i can use just the k member? or do i have to have the entire kit? Because they say they reccomend it all, but it seems like you could do it without the rest of the stuff. Its the difference between 650 and 1750 dollars, so im kinda hoping you can do just the k memeber.

You can get an entire QA1 k-member kit that comes with k member, coil overs, springs, tubular a arms. from UPR for 750ish shipped. All you would need is caster camber plates and bumpsteer. I'm running the kit and havent had any problems with it at all, fitment was perfect. Alot of people bash the QA1 kit but never even ran it, they just go by one incident of failure that they read on the internet and just say its junk. But i will say the QA1 isnt the best for road racing if thats what ur looking to do.

I'm with my boy, HOSS here
I would not do a new "K" without new "A" arms with poly bushings. You may get some arms with spring perches, but don't know if they fit the MM "K". I would think that spring-perched aftermarket arms would be made to fit an OEM geometry designed "K" and believe the MM one will not work with an OEM configured "A" arm (not 100% positive).
As for ubers thoughts on a QA1... They seem to be fine for drag racing, but would not install one on a corner-carver. They are indeed designed to save weight and not address the strain applied to a road track/AX ride. There is a reason why the MM ones cost soo much more.
