35% up front will be too light it will barley look tinted. I have 5% all around and I love how it looks. Imo id do at least 20% all around.

For what it's worth- in IL, for your car, you can have 35% all around and be legal. Anything less and they can make you remove it and give you a ticket. On the other hand...i have 20% all around and in Ohio it's illegal as well, and I haven't been bothered. For looks, and no concern of the law, get 20% all around.

My vote is for 20% all around also. I used to have 35% all around and it was not nearly dark enough.

Well, I'm sure glad I checked this today, as I'm planning on doing the same thing. Well, planning on tinting at least. I'm still undecided as to what I'm going to do %-wise. When I called the local shops for a quote, they didn't even ask what % I was looking for, maybe it doesn't effect the price? I got quotes for around $200 for the rear, quarter, and front windows.

@rainyday, Percentage should not affect the price at all

Yeah $200 sounds pretty reasonable.

I have 12.25% (2 layers of 35%) and I just roll my windows down when I see cops. I have never had any issues.
