Default HID's installed, they were working, now the passenger is out

So it is what the title says... me and a friend of mine firgured out this DDMTuning 9007 8000k 55W kit. We plugged everything in, turned on the lights withoutt hem in the housings, and they both lit!

We then put the bulbs in the housings without touching any of the connections or wiring... and then turned them on, the driver's side came on, but then the passenger side flickered, for just a split second like it tried to come on, then nothing. You can try this over and over again turning the lights on and off, the passenger side just keeps flicking on, then shutting off completely.

What is going on?!!? Ground?? We've fiddled with everything and it just won't stay on!!

My god, what the hell. I was pulling some wires and these wires snapped out of their socket I tried turning on the HIDs and for some reason, they both work!! Even with these two wires snapped out of place!! What is this wire?? Do I need it? These wires were part of the "plug and play" part... It comes from the ballast

(the connector where the ends of those wires were supposed to be in is directly to the right of the loose wire ends)

Looks like the connector that controls the hi/lo function to me.

Try to re-insert them into the connector? If all else fails just cut the red and black wires from the other side and connect them with something like this:

Also, I'm worried about zip tying the wires too close to hot components like the radiator hoses or other radiator components. Will the wires be fine near these?

(The wires that I am trying to put on hot stuff is coated with that black netting-like stuff as seen in the picture above)

Alright, so since I snapped that hi/low beam connection, will any regular old wire be sufficient to electrical tape the kit's wires to form an "extension" over to the little black clip thingy (the black clip thingy is where I accidently pulled the wires out of)
