Default '97 GT help

I've got a '97 Mustang GT 4.6L 5-speed convertible with 30k on it and I was wondering what I could do to improve the performance.

Additionally this is my first softtop vehicle and was wondering what a recommended cleaner/protector for the top is?

Any help would be appreciated!

What kind of budget and power goals do you have in mind?

I've got about $500 at the moment. I'm looking at a new exhaust right now. What's recommended?

It all depends on preference....best bet is to check out youtube clips. How loud do you want it?

Best start for performance mods would be an offroad midpipe/gears/tuner

Loud, but not window-shattering loud. Thank you for the advice!

I would gauge your catback choice based on your midpipe plans....IMHO

do you plan on keeping it naturally aspirated or are you gonna get forced induction?
