Default My friend needs help, real bad!

ok, I assume everyone on here at some point in there life own more then one mustang, well I know I did. My first stang was a V6 and it did not take me long to get my 03 GT, then now I own a Cobra. Well my buddy that has never own a mustang in his life wants one, but the dealer has got it in his head that he should buy the 2011 V6. I wish like hell I did not spend the money on my V6, but I was young and dumb and did not know any better. He thinks since it has 400 horses, he will be happy with it. I am not talking down on the V6, but it is a V6. What can I do to convince him to save his money and buy a GT or Cobra. I will give it to Ford, of what I read about them they are stout and has good gas millage, but who is worried about gas millage, lol?

the 2011 V6 has 315hp/285ftlbstq, not 400, just tell him it doesn't have enough torque lol.

The new V6 has plenty of torque. They are running high 13s at 103 with those cars off the lot. Its running right on the 3V's heels. The 2011 V6 is a good choice for someone who wants decent performance in a nice looking car along with 30+ mpg, but........ in my personal opinion I would spend a few grand more and get the 5.0. Its worth the extra money imo to have a mid-high 12 second car over a high 13 second car that gets good mpg.

Gotta agree Stone. Just like the guys that are torned between buying a GT or a Cobra. If I had known what I know now, I would have most def spent a couple more grand and bought a Cobra...

Yep. Thats exactly what I said every time I bought a Mach and started sinking money into it, "should've just bought a Cobra" lol. If I ever decide that I want over 400 rwhp, the Cobra will be the first thing I look into.

Went to the Ford dealership today and test drove both. The difference between the two will literally make you say "Holy.****". The new 5.0 motor is impressive, and so is the new V6. Ford did a fantastic job with the two new motors. The 5.0 motor is just in a completely different class.

I think both would be awesome, just not right now. If he really wants a brand new one, then wait a few years for any bugs or upgrades to appear. Otherwise, wait a few years and get a used '11.......simple but hard to hold back
