Default Mustang myth is it true

I was told that if u hold your trip reset with your key in the on position your car will go into a test mode and if you scroll to the tach mode and crank the car it will add power to the car until you kill it, then it resets. I tryed it and my odometer turned into a digital tach till I killed it. But is there any truth to the power myth?

That's pretty cool. Just went and tried it in my 03 and it worked.

Thanks for sharing.

See this link: http://www.mustangworld.com/ourpics/News/99hec.htm

The table gives information on the fuel level values.

I know how to read killgore, I just don't understand.
255 open send +/- 0
232 full stop +/- 0
215 Full mark +/- 10
178 3/4 mark +/- 8
138 1/2 mark +/- 7
93 1/4 mark +/- 5
41 E mark +/- 4
54 Low Fuel (0-59)
0-18 short (0-20 max)

Full Stop, Full Mark, short?
It just sounds like a bunch of mumbo jumbo if you ask me,
