First car help
Hey guys, I posted something in General Tech but I figured I would post something here considering i'm looking at a v8 Mustang. So i've been looking at a 2004 Ford Mustang GT for about $13K. Not getting it yet considering I dont even have my drivers license yet, but just getting an idea. Anyways if I were to buy it I was going to get a cool air intake system, Flowmasters, a tune up, and mabey some cheap but good upgrades that would help the car. Everything was going good until I heard about the z28 Camaro, apparently it's much cheaper and more HP. I also heard that mods work really well on that car. I need some help on this one because I love Mustangs but if I can get a Camaro for cheaper with more horsepower I mean what could go wrong? Please reply, as you might can tell i'm not too knowlegable about them so any help is appreciated.

first of all for 13k you can buy a cobra.. dont pay that much for ANY new edge GT.
Second... Straight up, if you want to race and have a beast car.. get an LSx car. Dollar for dollar your going to wax a 2v GT anyday of the week.
If you want a DD car that has some ***** and is fun to drive, get a GT. With gears, and full exhaust and a tune ull have a FUN car to drive. I think once you start wanting a blower n stuff like that you should have went with an F-body(if you like the looks, personally I love them...others dont seem to).
The problem with F-bodies is the interior and the way they sit. A lot of people think they ride like doodoo. Again, I dont see that. The interiors are no worse than ours GM just chose to use different colors lol
just my .02

13k is too much for a GT unless its like close to brand new & unabused. 13K isn't enough for a decent cobra. Unless of coarse you looking at a 99 or 01 cobra... those are in your range & you could get a decent cobra 99 or 01 cobra. Termi's go way higher than this, so that out. I agree with HOSS if your willing to spend 13K then get a 99 or 01 cobra. Otherwise a 03-04 Mach 1 for that much wouldn't be a bad option either.
I would buy this one if I was you... one owner means WELL taken care of usually.

It still has stock exhaust tips, that means old man midlife crisis car. Its set at bluebook so you know its not an enthusiast's car.
