Default Spec stage 2

So I found an awesome deal on CL for a brand new spec stage 2 clutch and a used nitrous kit. I was thinking about purchasing both. I know most of you have said a center-force clutch is better but the spec is brand new for 100$. How much power n torque could a spec stage 2 clutch hold safely. If I were to get the nitrous kit, I wouldn't have more than 100hp jets on it. Weigh in guys.

When I was looking for a new clutch I was told to get a clutch that the torque rating was less than what the torque rating was on the tranny so your clutch would go before your trans. That being said I think the Spec clutch will be fine power wise.

well if u feel like doing any of ur own work u can look on americanmuscle they give the torque rating for it.

you can do your own math from there. the tr3650 tranny is only rated to 360tq, which is basically a bolt on GT. there is no guarantee for that but we all understand it to be a very conservative rating.

Its not only 360wtq the higher gears ur in ie 2 to 3 to 4th... The more the tranny can take. Cliffy's posted a bunch of stuff about it before

The spec clutch will be just fine for you. If you got a great deal on the clutch is legit, why would you pass that up.

I was studying for a test last night which is a little more important the researching the spec stage 2 clutch specifications. Plus I like to read what the real world's experience is.

After hearing so many things about spec, i wouldn't put one in my acr. But for $100, i might consider... Would just hate to pay for the install twice when the spec takes a dump... I've heard many complaints about spec, but zero about centerforce.. I'll be saving for a centerforce myself when the time comes.

Turns out that the clutch has a chip in it. The guy says that spec told him it'll be fine...but here is my thoughts, if it is already chipped brand new, what would happen if its under a lot of stress. +!1 on not paying to get a clutch put in twice......fml. And the search continues

so centerforce is the way to go when it comes to clutches?

Also just curious, what kind of clutch is the one where you have to press REALLY hard on the clutch pedal to engage/disengage it? Because the one in my car now is almost efforless to press in and out.. however any other mustang I drive around here (friends and stuff) the clutch is ALWAYS stiff as hell. What gives?
