I just bought tires and rims 17x9 fronts 17x10.5 back. Right now I have the stock 17x8 rims, lowered, with CC plates with no tire wear. The question I have do I need an alignment after I put the new tires on? I did have an alignment after I got the CC plates installed. Any info would be great.

 

I would get one just to put the mind at ease. I f'd up and didn't get an alignment this spring when I swapped from my winter set to my summer set...and my front two tires ate themselves from the inside out.

 

Thats what I was thinking of doing anyways, but if I didn't have to why spend the extra money. Alignments are not to expensive. Thanks

 

Yeah I agree, but I'd rather spend ~50 bucks and be assured rather than F up 400 bucks worth of tires....Just my opinion lol

 

FWIW Colby, you saw how low my car is relative to your's. I have no CC plates and was running the 17x9 and 17x10.5 and didn't get an alignment. Granted I don't have xray goggles to see inside my tire, but I kept an eye on mine and didn't have any unusual wear on the inside. You having the CC plates would only help you in not needing an alignment I would think.
