SLP loudmouth 1s
Ive been trying to decide what kind of muffler I want for my 1997 Mustang Gt, and I like the SLP loudmouth 1's. Does anybody have them who could tell me how they like them? How much louder is SLP lm1's without cats? I want to go pretty loud but some people say it is obnoxiously loud without them, and doesn't sound as clean. And if it is catted, how will the sound be different if I have the stock mid pipe, or if I have a SLP catted x pipe? Is it worth the extra 500 dollars?Thank you for all your help!

I have factory manifolds, catted SLP x, and LM1's....at idle, it sounds very tame. Infact, driving on the highway it doesnt drone, and it isn't too loud at all. But wake it up and you can hear it several miles away. Literally. I personally love the sound. Nobody has ever told me anything other than how much they like the sound. I think a catted x and LM1s would be good for most people...personally, I would like it to be louder I think....

Catted X with LM1's I think would sound like pure sex, but with offroad pipes and LM1's you are basically running 98percent straight pipes. And count on sounding like you have a JAKE BRAKE like on tractor trailors on deceleration.

Is it only loud when you punch it? How does it sound when you are just driving normally? I want to go offroad but since I live in California, I don't want to attract too much attention, well I do, but at least not the cops lol. Then Id just put the regular mid pipe when it comes time to smog it. What do you think? Thank you for responding btw

And with that setup forget girls getting turned on being in a Mustang....my buddy with that setup, his gf goes, "He's lucky I love him and that I was with him before he got that loud *** car, or else I'd be completely turned off". LOL Teej you'll meet him at the show.
