Default 03 GT vs. 07 GT

Just curious as to what this would be. my friend has an 07 GT, stock automatic (I have no idea what they run, as I've never been against one before). I have an 03 GT, manual. Lightly modded (3.73's, 75mm TB, CAI, magnaflows, meh lol). What kinda race would this be? We talked about racing one time. Just being curious as to what to expect.

I took one before. It was a manual vert with 3.73's back when I had 4.10's. Some people dot believe me but they don't have to. It's really driver mod with this one. If you suck you're done. If you're decent you have a chance. You both probably make around the same power but you have gears and are lighter but he pulls better up top and has an auto. But I say run him and take video for proof so people will believe you.

You should get him. When my dad's 06 gt (auto) was stock, and all i had was a CAI, h pipe, and cat back i could beat him. Just barely though.

Well on the S197 they have almost equal drivetrain power loss when considering manual vs. auto. I've been in a S197 GT (05) and it pulled hard......but with your gears it might be possible. Just don't miss a shift and you have a chance

I had 4:10 gears, CAI, LT, O/R H, SLP LM1, tune (Auto) VS. A CAI an tuned 3v (manual).. He got me by a fender each and every time from a roll..

Exactly... the S197s are the FASTER CAR.. but if you get a ****ty driver, anything can happen.

Cool. I'll see about trying to race on a dead country road sometime next week and recording it. Should be fun.
