Default Performance Steering Wheels...

Hey guys -

Ever since seeing that picture of Cliffs interior on his car, I can't stop thinking about aftermarket steering wheels for our cars! Does anyone find our stock steering wheels oversized? I've noticed that our Ford steering wheels SUCK in terms of durability and have always liked smaller steering wheels.

Has anyone considered swapping for an aftermarket one?

Well Ive been concidering it but I would first need some sort of roll bar/cage so I can use a 5 point harness. aftermarket wheel with no airbag and stock seat belt = not pretty in accident.........

As others have said, I'd consider it if I had a 4 or 5 point harness and a tube frame/roll bar, but with the ****ty 3 point belts that come in cars, I like my odds better with an airbag. Plus, I think the factory wheel looks good.

Don't get me started on the safety systems in modern cars... ugh. With the right frame and seat/harness arrangement, airbags aren't even necessary.
