I'm thinking black chrome or a bright silver or polished color.

FYI in order for the Black Chrome Powder Coat to have that really awesome look the parts either has to be chrome or already polished. The Black Chrome Powder is more like a clear with black tinting in it. So the shinier the part the better the final result. I'm not saying it wont look good on other parts it is just not going to have that Real Black Chrome effect
Just food for thought before you commit to anything

I got a good powder coater that works at my buddy's shop. Does stuff for reasonably cheap from what I understand. And BraMas, I could polish the tailpipes easily with a wheel on a drill. I just dont like the upkeep of polished tailpipes and having to repolish them every once and a while. I'd rather just clean the pipes than have to polish them.

I would do a bright silver. I love the chrome pipes under the cobra in rear shots, but like you said TJ it would suck to have to keep cleaning them. Get a silver that's closest to chrome as you can and just run a rag over them to clean them.

I'm not a fan of those flat black pipes in those pictures. They blend in too much.

I think they base it off the size of the item. Since larger items like a whole frame takes more effort to do. If you have small parts I'm sure they can throw your part in with other parts to bake at the same time.

I wondered how well those self powder coating kits worked. I don't know the temps they bake parts at, but if you got a kit then bought a crappy oven you could possibly make some money back powder coating parts for people on the side.

it looks ok on the pipe, but i would never do it to the tips. SS tips are the only way to go IMO.
