Default sock & strut problem

wassup guys? I Just finished installing my new Bilstein Shocks & Struts on my 01 GT. The installation was not bad at all. just one problem, I gained about a 1/4 inch of height out back & 1/2 inch up front... WTF is this normal? I got 2 inch lowering springs on all 4 corners.. the car had an even stance before i started. now it sits higher up front. I'm 100% positive I did the install correctly.. I test drove the car it drives much nicer now. I just don't get the odd stance now.

The Bilsteins have quite a bit more compression pre-load, you may have noticed this when you had to compress them during installation--this higher pre-load raises the car's stance just as would a higher rate spring.

They will settle in a some, but likely always ride a bit higher.

a lot of people go with shocks made for fox body cars because they bolt up the same but are meant for a shorter travel distance

That has nothing to do with the op's issue.

If you're gonna do that, just get front coilovers. That's my personal opinion.
