I ran 100 shot untuned for a long time with no lean spikes.. As long as you have one step colder plugs and run 93 your perfectly fine.. Only time to worry is if your A/F is off before you add the nitrous.. then that can cause problems.

That is not true. Cooler plugs are nice and running 93 octane is good but your aren't "perfectly fine." Without a tune from an installer there is going to be a lean spike. Like I said a lot of people do it but it only takes one time to mess the motor up.

Actually you are wrong.. where are you getting your statement that it is not safe.. Hell even nitrous companies say its safe.. I swear that number decreases everytime it comes out of someone's mouth.. I remember when 450 rwhp was the norm max and now people say its 400..

I've been running a 125 wet on mine for 2 years and have never had a lean spike and don't have a tune. Am I on borrowed time maybe who knows. I have seen more blow up on a 100 shot with a tune than without one. The main thing is to run a window switch and dont hit it under 3000. Pretty simple

I'm not saying it's necessarily dangerous, but like with anything else, a good tune for your application is going to get you the best out of it. Can you run a 100 shot safely without a tune? Sure. My buddy was doing it with a 125 shot as well.

So you asked a nitrous company if you can run a 100 shot safely? Do you really think they are going to say "no, we suggest getting it tuned first." No one would buy their kits. Call up almost any cam company that sells 2v cams and ask them if you need to degree the cams before installation. They will all say you don't because no one wants to hear that you need to spend hundreds of dollars more for installation. If they did no one would buy their cams.

Has been to many dyno days with air/fuel just never tuned. Never have I seen a lean spike if anything it burns fat.

I say NX plate kit, we just hooked up a kit on my friends 98 GT and its fun. He is running a 100 shot with colder NGK's and 3.73's, no tune either while going threw a whole bottle already. He text'd me the other day saying he put down 290 RWHP and 348 ft LBS. of torque. Not bad for 900 bucks......

As for installing the kit is was simple up to the wiring, I was lost when he did that and just held the flashlight and grabbed the beers from there on.
