Default Price???

Hey folks, I am sitting here wondering what I could get for my Mustang..... Keep in mind that the car itself has 64000 miles on her, but the forged motor has just 10000 miles on it.
The car has never been in rain or snow, she is pristine in condition, and a real headturner with the Lightbar and Saleen Hard Tonneau cover on her, not to mention the SuperCharger whine she puts out.
I get at least one complement almost everytime I take her out.
I paid $29,500 new in 2003, and have dropped in another $14 - $15000 in mods.
Check out my Sig.
I would not take less then $14.5 for her.
Am I being unreasonable, or do you all think I could get even more, or less, for her?? She is not beaten, she is " adult driven ".
My best time was 12.33 on street tires, 11.97 on slicks.
Seeing that the new 2011 GT Vert with 426 ( not sure ) HP at the motor, 360 at the wheels, goe for around 40K + I am quessing, I think mine is the bargain.
I even have 50 more HP than the new GT, and I am lighter in weight.
What do you all think? Thanks for any replys, and don't be afraid to let me have it if you think my asking price is unreasonable.

Keep in mind the 14-15k in mods you put in is probably completely lost when selling your car. you might make some of it back, but in the used car market, unless you find the PERFECT buyer, you will not see that money back.... Just food for thought.

+1 to them. dont care how much money you sank into that ship. when selling a highly modified car, your car is still worth just your car. there is always going to be someone out there willing to pay your modified price, but not everyone is knocking at the door to buy a heavily modified car for someone to recoup their play money. your best bet selling a modified car is always to keep stock parts, put stockers back on, and part out the mods. then sell a stock-ish car.

if you knwo what you want, list it for that or a little higher and see what happens. there is NO telling how much money you can, or will get until the transaction is done.

+1. It's sad but true. I learned it the hard way. Sometimes the mods actually reduce the price. Sold my 4V swapped GT for $2500 because that's all I could get. I had 0 interest in it. Second I told someone that I swapped in a Mark VIII motor, they split thinking that it was ragged out.

I think that mods add a little bit of value. But that might be limited to appearance mods because when i see "performance" done, i automatically think there was something wrong. I don't know why, just the way it is.

But, mods do help sell the car in some aspects.
