Default Moving advice welcome

Well it's official, I have been looing for a job in KY (Cincinnati area) since last December and finally I got one and am moving Sept 24th. I only have clothes, tool chests, and winter wheels/tires to move all fitting in a pickup truck hopefully (I'm driving my car down there). I'm moving in with the fiance so she already has all the big furniture stuff.

Anyone done a move like this before? In terms of switching registration and changing residence address etc?

Also anyone know the inspection laws in Cincy area? I'm moving to Walton KY which is about 20min south of Cincy. I hear they don't have emissions testing, which is good since I have a O/R X but with MIL's plugged in.

Anyone on here that is from that area? I'll be needing some fellow car guys/gals to keep me sane ahaha.

Thanks fellow MFers
dean

Well Rob I wouldn't expect anything less from you lol. But I may not be on facebook ALL day like I am now ahaha. Have to prove to be a worthwhile employee first then start to slack off ahaha.

But thanks for the good wishes. I'm hoping to meet some people on here that are from that area. I have met some great ppl from this forum around Boston and hope to continue it there.

Do you guys have any inspections? I'm sure I would in order to switch the registration?

School boy, what part are you from?

Im 20 minutes north of downtown cincy, there are no emission laws around here even for new registration, run it wide open, have fun with your move, we have a couple nice drag strips close to where you are going, Edgewater Raceway and tri-state raceway. welcome to this part of the country!

Thanks Soldier!

Ohh that's sweet that there is no inspection/registration other than needing to get new plates. I'm pumped about the no window tint laws too. I have been holding off re-doing my tint but if I did it here I could only do 35%. Thanks for the support GTswag!

The roads don't seem that brutal with a lowered car....I'm only sitting about 1.25" lower than stock but I see they like to make enterances to buildings with a decent slope lol which may suck.

I hope the company I'm working at has no speed bumps etc!

EDIT: I just did a google maps street view and looks like I'm in the clear for speed bumps etc LOL

KY has some pretty good roadways, Its ohio you have to worry about, not bad but could be better. I have H&R SS springs with 18" rims and the only time I scrape is over some speed bumps, but the majority of them here are very low, and again welcome to the Tri-State!
