Key words right there lol I think you have a little more knowledge than your agerage joe judging by your car. Some people would not even consider trying to do any of the work themselves. So they would buy one, bring it to a shop to have it painted and installed.

Plus it sounds like you got a hell of a deal on a used bumper anyways... not everyone is going to get a deal like that.

Well I guess I'm just lucky to live in a town that is all about cars and I make friends with guys that can do what I can't. I did get a deal on the bumper since I took my buddy to buy the front bumper off a guy and saw the rear and offered him $100 and he bit. As for filling my buddy helped me but it was really easy and probably could have done it myself. Most people fear what they don't know and that stops them from learning.

Well I'm all for trying, I just have high standards for the finished product and that I don't feel it would come out good enough (due to sub par materials/tools/conditions etc) for my liking to put it on the car.

I LOVE the MUSTANG idea...i think the shaved COBRA just leaves a lot of empty space for me.

Id take one for sure....after i get rid of my "Petey Pablo" wheels haha

this.

good luck dealing with ford though. they are real sticklers about their trademarks...hence why it says MF in the upper left hand corner of the forum instead of the running horse like it used to be.

Ive seen a few people with those shaved bumpers, for all you 94-98 guys you can get a bumper that says "Mustang GT" have the body shop fill in the GT and the MU in mustang, and you're new bumper will say "stang" in the direct center of the bumper.
