Default Caliper and Disc prices?

I have a 00 GT and my best local dealerships(3) is quoting me:

$218.50 front discs
$188.00 front calipers
$406.50 total and the calipers arent loaded

does this seem high to anyone else? any suggestions are welcome, Thanks.

Is that just for parts? If it is, I can get you parts to do a whole cobra conversion up front for that price!

Why would you buy from a dealership, when there are so many mustang performance/forums online you can get parts for much cheaper and better than stock

Why are you getting new calipers?

Buyfordracing.com

Get the bullitt brakes and buy some 13" cobra/mach/bullitt rotors. That's about $365 up front for AWESOME brakes for that price

Are you looking to just replace your current brakes with stock replacements or are you wanting a performance upgrade?

What kind of driving do you do? DD, drag racing, twisties etc.

yeah thats just for parts..i've checked a few sites and the best price i could get on a cobra/bullitt kit was $600+, one side is seized and the other is ground down to the bare piston.

I have about 4 bills to spend, a performance upgrade would be nice but i dont want front red calipers and nasty broke *** stockers in the rear..

I say just get stock replacement rotors and calipers from a local auto store and buy good quality pads. It should be much less than the $400 Ford is asking.
