Ok this winter im planning on doing a 4v swap on my 02 gt. Im not sure exactly what all i will need and just want to make sure i know what all i need before i get into it. Will be swapping to termi heads. What i know i need: Complete heads, complete intake manifold timing chain, timing cover, injectors, valve covers, headers?, COPS and thats all ive been told. Will i need a new wiring harness? thus far thats all i know of. thanks for you imput. The link below is to the intake manifold i will be purchasing in the next few weeks complete with a parts list of what it comes with. Thanks for your imput!

With keeping a stock shortblock with stock Cobra parts you won't make much power. 2v PI heads have a smaller combustion chamber, and dished pistons. Putting 4v heads with a 52cc (I think it's 52 or 54) on the dished pistons will result in a compression drop, lowering power. So unless you're putting ported 4v heads with big cams and an aftermarket intake (like a Sullivan) and plan on F/I, it's not worth it.
I did the swap with a stock GT shortblock. I made some gains, but I have ported heads and intake, and custom cams. I don't have the stock shortblock anymore, though. It's still in the car, but I have a forged setup with flat tops sitting in my garage. Just need the time to put it in, lol.
Off the top of my head, here's what you'll need:
-Heads, intake, cams
-Fuel rails
-Coolant crossover
-Thermostat housing
-Timing cover
-Secondary timing chains and gears
-Valve covers
-COP's
-Alternator
-Intake tube (or CAI)
You may need a belt tensioner too, depending if you get a 96-98 timing cover or a 99/01, or a, 03/04 Mach.
The stock wiring harness will work, but you'll have to extend a few wires, and extend and reverse the COP wires.
I think that's most of it. Like I said it's off the top of my head, it's been a while since I've done this.
