I say Trade it !!! some bolt ons and a 100 shot will make that 3v fly (I love the top end power of these cars) !! Im glad I traded my 2v for my 05 GT, so much more comfortable for a daily driver as well. Plus the aftermarket for the S197's is very wide and plentiful. The only thing I hate is it is harder to park then the New edge but I double park anyway so no one parks beside me .

That and I drive by a community college on my way to work and I seriously see at least two new edges pulling in every day. It really turns me off that these cars are every 19 year olds hell raiser

or pay off the 03, save up and then buy a used 2011 with a warranty in a couple years and trade-in/sell the 03
savings accounts are earning virtually zero interest right now. that would just be a waste of time.

OP: i would probably get the 09, but only if the payments were managable. would your monthly payments look similar to the 03? if they are similar (obviously the term will be longer on the 09) i would probably get the s197.

curious...what are your cons?

If you're just bit by the "I need another car lol" bug, I'd wait a bit and see if you still REALLY want the car in a month or so. My vote is still to stick with the SN95, but it's your money.

payments would be $30 more a month. the only con on the 09 is the longer payment term. there is a list of them for the 03.

Just playing devils advocate here but what happens when you get the bored itch with the S197 and you are stuck with it, owing more than you do currently on the 03? lol

sounds like you are leaning towards the 09. 30 more per month adds up, but it shouldn't be a deal breaker. is there a chance that the 09 could also develope a long list of cons for you? just something else to think about...

It sounds like you have your mind made up then, if you want to go for it, then do it. Seems like you're bored of the 03 and wanna get rid of it.

But...I had the itch too to do the same thing, and now that I am almost done paying off the 03, I have zero regrets. Just be sure this is what you want in the long run, not just short term.
