Yes, I was aware of the trans difference. I still thought with those DRs, it would run within .2sec of the 5spd w/ old tires and major traction issues. Do you know what the trap speed was at the 1/8 mark? Also, what were the weather conditions at the track?

it was cold, about 50 degrees, but it was also rainy, had to stop the racing a couple times for rain, hence why i only got a total of 3 runs in. but i got a free pass to another test and tune this month so i'll go out and try again. i really think with my street tires i'd of got the 13, every launch it just would hook and bog horrible, i think if i got a little spin it'd actually help a lot. this was also at full weight minus the spare, with heavy *** 18's in the front and my 17's in the rear.

doesn't really bother me any, i think it's got 13's in it but it's just my dd so i don't care if it's only a 14 second car, since i also have an 11 second car in the driveway lol.

I think you have 13s in it for sure, and it sounds like you did the best you could with the cards you were dealt. Try it again on a dry, slightly warmer day and you might come out better. Good job anyway!

The additional weight you are carrying will make a noticable difference!!!
Those heavy 18's in the front are killing you more than you realize. My stock 17x8s weigh 7lbs each less than my 17x9s, so I swap them on the front when I go to the track. I also run my DRs on my stock 17x8s for the rear since those wheels are lighter. It takes me less than 5 minutes to pull my passenger seat and rear seat bottom (~55lbs), and I always remove my front sway bar. It weighs 18lbs and helps me transfer weight on launch. The windshield washer tank holds about 7.5lbs of fluid when full (on the front of the car). A lot of guys would be surprised to find out how much difference these items make at the track!

Definitely post up when you go back to the track. I am anxious to see what happens next time out.
GOOD LUCK!!!

yeah the weight i'm sure is killing me, the rims are 18x9's so they're nice and fat! haha. i don't want to strip this car down like i did my '95 tho, i took everything out of that car and i want to keep this one at or near full weight.

Those front wheels are killing you at the track. Can you swap on some 17x8's for track duty? Also, I only pull my passenger seat for trips to the track. It literally takes me less than 5 minutes to pull it and the rear seat bottom (~55lbs). Empty washer fluid tank is ~7lbs more. That would be worth around .15 seconds of ET. Simply doing those items would get your recent passes into the 13's.

i can prolly throw my 17's off my '95 onto this car for the track. might pull the entire back seat and the front seat next time as well if i can't make a 13 pass at full weight.
