Default starting to think...

what on average would a cammed/stalled/full bolt on/geared '00 gt run in the quarter? consider that it would cut 1.60 60's just so traction is out of the equation. then what about if a 150 shot is added in, would that be too much for the bottom end/trans?

reason i'm asking all this is i'm really starting to consider selling my '95 and using that money to pay off my '00 and buy another focus as a dd, then mod the '00.

I'd say 11.8-12.4 depending on suspension, launch, etc. With a 150 shot, mid 11's with the correct suspension.

Checkout JAYC, CMS stage 2's, suspension, 5speed, 4.10s (or 4.30s) longtubes, and I think his most recent best is an 11.2 on a 150 shot.

yeah his car is who made me think about all this. i'd just like to get mid to high 11's out of all of it if possible. 11's is fast enough for me, out of all my friends i'm no longer the fastest car anymore so as long as i can stay competitive around here i don't mind losing to a few.

nitrous is just the way to go imo. especially since i can take most of the kit off my '95 for the 2000 so it'll basically be free other than filling the bottle.

You could get in the 11s with just a 125 shot, suspension, bolt ons, slicks and skinnies and a nice sized stall.

what size stall would you guys see necessary for this setup? and also what brand? i had an edge in my '95 when it was auto and had no problems with it.

3500-4000 stall maybe higher with cams. I don't have experience with anyone other than DirtyDog Peformance but people seem to like Precision Industries and Darrin at BC for converters. I have a 3800 stall from Alan at Dirty Dog and love it. Don't let anyone tell you that stall size is too big to DD because it's not.

as long as you don't get a cheap *** converter you're right, my edge was a 3k stall and drove like factory until i actually got on the converter.
