Default JBA Header install

Im getting ready to put a set of short JBA headers that a friend gace me on my 96 GT. Can anyone tell me the easiest way (IE not scrapping the whole damn car) way to put them on? Im thinking about dropping the K member and engine out the bottom and doing it that way. Im station here at Ft Polk LA and need something to do this weekend as it is as exciting as watching a camaro rust here on the weekends.

Dropping the K would you give you plenty of clearance so you don't scrap the headers.

+1 on k-member drop. Make sure to line the k-member back up correctly, it can move a bit and not be straight.

I've done longtubes twice this year, the easiest and fastest way is to drop the K-member.

How would you all recommend hanging the engine. Im thinking a steel beam on the strut towers with either a strap down and undert eh engine and back up or move the steel fwd and use a bolt on the front of each head.

Put a jack underneath the oil pan with a wood block in between.

When I "dropped" my K member all I did was lower it maybe 4-6". That gave me enough header bolt clearance and made it easy to get back in place.
