Over the years I have used about every shape shift **** there is, I have 4 or 5 for the Mustang, and keep coming back to a 2" or so smooth ball.

I picked up an 8-ball at the flea market the other day that I am going to machine as an alternative to my cue ball.

$30 with return shipping, and I'll throw in 3 or 4 polished spacers in various lengths.

I have just a small 7x14 lathe, and a mini-mill so it will take am hour or so to bore the ball and turn, thread, and polish the aluminum insert. The spacers are easy because I just cut them from 5/8" thick wall aluminum tubing.

The insert is epoxied into the ball.

Let me know if you want to do this as I'll have to order some 3/4" 6061 bar stock, I've got just enough left to do the 8-ball...

^ agreed. i myself have the white hurst know, kinda like the cue ball only a little smaller i believe. it's great, doesn't got hot/cold or anything. i tried a pistol grip and it felt good except it hurt my hands when i shifted quick. the stock one sucked imo. so now i have this one.

I have a Hurst T-handle that I looks neat, I try to like it every now and then; so I put it on and drive to work (38 miles)--and then before I drive home I take it off off and put the cue ball back on...
