Why, they honestly dont net much power... JLT is prob your best bet for a nice looking piece with the performance you'll get by freeing up the restriction in that part of the intake. If its $/power your after a drop in K&N filter will be more then half of a CAI system.

After doing some dyno testing when i was in school on a fox body, the K&N showed the most hp increase compared to a bbk and an Auto Zone scratch made one. The metal tubing would heat soak worse than the K&N and the power would drop off..

Your car has a CAI stock...a pretty damn good one. Yeah JLT makes a good product but is it worth $300 for a gain that WON'T even be noticable?

For $300 go buy exhaust or gears, atleast you can hear your exhaust.

Go to autzone and buy a K+N filter for your existing stock intake, i'd put money on a dyno it would either be equal to or out perform any $200+ BBK CAI. Its a shiny piece of metal you're paying money for, not to mention people have complained of heat soak. Think about it, metal gets hot, COLD air in a HOT metal tube? You don't need to be a scientist to figure this one out.

That's why get the K&N, The plastic holds less heat. Was unable to compare to the stock rubber intake, but I know grabbing it after the cars been running it gets dam hot.

You guys do know that the stock intake is NOT a restriction right? All you need is a drop in filter.

+1 all you need is a KNN filter.

$300 for JLT and you got robbed. I'd say they are best though. I've used K&N, both JLT's and knock off stuff. I prefer the JLT inner fender CAI out of all of them.
