haha I hope you just inherited $25k because a worth-while low mine GT + turbo + supporting mods will cost you about that much.

however, you can get a cheap GT and cheap stuff and do it a lot cheaper then that im sure.

i see that you have cams, do those work on the stock engine without PTV problems

well your wanting 600hp.

your going to want a beefier tranny, rear end, you need a built short block, some heads and cams, you will need to do your suspension in order to plant any of that power to the ground, etc...

hes not joking when he says 25 grand.

For this year I am going to stay with about 400 hp so what other supporting mods do I need for that?

I have already thought about the tranny, clutch, rearend, suspension, etc along with the shortblock for later.

you gotta just ask about the actual cam you pick to make sure. My cams do not have any PTV clearance issues, but people will say that I am lucky (because I have a pretty aggressive stage 2 cam). From what I understand you can simply degree the cam a tad to make extra clearance.

You NEED cams if you are expecting to put out any power with your motor. You will not be able to do it with the stock ones.

For example, I am easily pushing over 400 rwhp on only 7.5 lbs of boost (at peak!!), whereas another mustang w/ out cams will struggle hitting 400 with 10+ lbs of boost (which is almost almost 2x times the pressure)

No, I was not kidding about 25k lol... actually.. I think that's quite generous if you want it done right and built a motor as well. (and dont forget a tune at a GOOD shop, with QUALITY work)

its a lot man. That alone is about $3-4k w/out install.

You will have a hard time hitting 400 w/ out cams and few mods. You will pretty much need full bolt ons + 10 lbs of boost to hit 400

or possibly a little less, I am not as familiar with turbos power output

i am not doubting the 25k. Also, the turbo kit is about 3500 and i will be doing all of the install myself. I talked to the guy that will be tuning the car the other day(he has tuned a 4v car with an 88mm single) and he said that he has tuned a few cars with this exact kit and said that it won't have any trouble hitting that kind of power. I will also be adding a meth kit since I can't get gas any better than 89oct withing about 45 miles.
