Ok you're just antagonizing it, which means you're acting on the same level as these guys by pushing the conversation on. Please quit.

Degreeing your cams means installing them at the advertised intake centerline. Just dropping them in can mean a lose of midrange torque because they are retarded or your intake valves making love with your pistons because they are to far advanced.

Alright I cant find proof of the SN 4v GTs, I could have sworn my dad had one in his auto 98GT when he bought it back in 99-2000. My memory either fuzzed, or it was a swap by the prior owner. I love how everyone kept nagging this on though, feel free to do the hours of research I did sometime.

Thanks for explaining degreeing GearHead

The MAF takes a sampling of the air passing through the area (g/s is typical unit of mesasure) and from that reading determines a voltage, the maximum voltage being 5vs. The relation is set in a MAF table in the ECU which tells the ECU what the g/s range is per MAF voltage.

When you have reached the "flow" limit of the sensor, you increase the physical diameter of the tube to increase the amount of g/s per voltage the sensor can process. Then you would want to rescale your MAF tables to get your long term fuel trims (LTFT) back in line. That why the computer isn't constantly adding or subtracting large percentages of fuel.
