Scratched Rotors...

I'm not too sure why you find the need for SS lines. They are a good idea i suppose, but they are not needed at all... I've been so heavy on my brakes at times and noticed no sponginess, or loss of braking power, etc. The bigger 13" rotors dissipate heat VERY quickly compared to the stockers, and you really can save yourself the $60 on the lines and just use your stock ones, unless you plan on autocrossing. I believe the cobra fronts over a 30% increase in sweeping space compared to the stockers as well? So that's good to know
I didn't get SS lines and i have no regrets. So take it for what it is. Daily driving and spirited driving rocks with these things...
If you have the extra money for new lines, do it!
But i just want to let you know that it's not really needed... Teej doesn't have SS lines either i dont think. Ask him what he thinks of his brakes! Although he is a mod-hungry wh0re and prob will be getting them/already has them bc of his autocross twistie addiction
That list looks good natedog... ORDER UP!

I wish I would have gotten stainless lines while I had the car apart...but I didnt. I notice spongy brake pedal, but then again my stock rubber lines have 121k miles on them. They need replaced, whether its with stock rubber or stainless braided. I want braided lines personally.

That's odd.. Going from the stock GT setup to the full cobra setup, 90% of my sponginess went away... And even then, i wouldn't consider my brakes having any sponge to them at all really... Maybe try bleeding them for now.

Yea, I figured that my car has 115k on the clock, and might as well replace the old rubber lines. Also, my brakes were super spongy, so I wanted to do everything I could do fix that. I'm so anxious to get the stuff so I can see how the car rides. I'll keep y'all posted

Yea I just wanna see what its like. I mean all I know is sponginess since I've had an '00 gt and my current '01 gt. Although I used to valet and got to drive lotsa BMWs, and I just fell in love with those pedals.

Well, finally got all the brake parts in and installed today. Haven't really gotten on them too hard yet, seeing as I need to break em in. Although the pedal feels much more linear and bites harder. And they look awesome! Can't wait to really get on them soon tho. And before you guys say anything, yes I know I drive a 4x4
